Happy summer, everyone!
This month, I’d like to share an unsolicited poem from a first-year GAIA Nursing Scholar, Atilenga Kasambara.

“GAIA: OUR VEHICLE TO SUCCESS”

It is everyone’s wish to embark on the journey to success
But money is the vehicle for the journey
Whose speed depends on amount and availability

It is of pity seeing those with potential
Unable to get the vehicle
For their pockets are too shallow
To get one
Only standing on road sides watching the privileged
Reach their destinations

There GAIA comes
With concern, carries those on road sides
Giving them hope of reaching their destination
Supplying them with all necessities
On this academic journey

GAIA is our vehicle
Carrying us to a great future
As it eliminates all excuses to failure on the whole journey
And making excellence in performance, our only option
